AUWA+TOWA-7468-72.jpg - This is not a high-quality photo; but it documents something unusual: two warbler species (Yellow-rumped Warbler and Townsend's Warbler) at a seed feeder. Insects are the primary diet for essentially all warblers. For several years I have seen Townsend's Warblers at my seed feeders; but this is the first year I have see Yellow-rumped Warblers eating seed. Individuals of the latter species have also been eating suet. Photo taken by Kay Loughman at Gravatt & Stephens, Oakland, CA on Dec. 15, 2013.
